The space
Our bright and very spacious four bedroom Edinburgh flat is a great base to explore from. You enter into a long ( really long) hallway which connects all the rooms. The property has a large living room with 2 4-seater sofas and a dining table to seat 10. There’s a TV (with Amazon Firestick), games consoles, board games, books and a great view of the Old Royal Infirmary - now converted into offices, apartments, and shops.
The kitchen is a great spot for breakfast - it also seats 10. It is fully equipped, including a coffee machine (tea & coffee is provided), so if you want to self cater you can. There’s a washing machine, tumble dryer & dishwasher too (detergents provided)
The bedrooms are all doubles and large & airy - the biggest also has a double sofa bed (and a historic curved glass window!) All rooms have have a comfortable bed, 4 fluffy pillows and there are extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobes should you need them.
The bathroom does what it says on the tin with and electric shower, full bath tub, wash basin, loo and complimentary hair & body soaps.
There is also a small study with a desk & printer in case you need to work, print tickets or play hide & seek!

This is the perfect space for large groups or families who are looking for a central location and a comfortable place to stay.
Guest access
We are about 15-20 minutes walk from Waverley Station ( where the airport bus/tram arrives). There are frequent buses from Princes Street and taxi’s are readily available. I won’t lie - parking is not so easy. There is a Q-Park a 2 minute walk away at Quartermile but there is not on street parking outside the flat. You can stop just a little up the street to unload bags.
Guest interaction
I won't be available but I have a fantastic support team who are on hand 24/7 if there is anything you need.
Neighborhood overview
Edinburgh's ancient heart, the 'Auld Toun' maintains much of its medieval street plan. A labyrinth of wynds and closes branch outward from the core of the Old Town- the Royal Mile, leading from Holyrood in the south to the foot of the iconic Castle, perched on the crag. Immersed in history and culture, this part of town is one of the more touristic, with plenty of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, and myriad attractions. It's location in the very centre of the city also makes it extremely convenient for those looking to get about the city. Please take a look at the guidebook on my listing for recommended places to eat and drink in the area!
Getting around
Getting Around: The benefit of staying in the Old Town is that most destinations are easily reached within walking distance:
2 minutes from National Museum of Scotland and Greyfriars Bobby
3 minutes to The Elephant House Coffee shop where J.K.Rowling famously wrote Harry Potter.
5 minutes walk to The Meadows - great to walk the dog, lovely enclosed kids playpark.
5 minute walk to the Royal Mile, 10 minutes up to Edinburgh Castle
15 minute walk through Edinburgh's Old Town to Princes Street

Edinburgh Airport: From the airport take the number 300 bus to Forrest Road.

Train: The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverley. From the station it's a 15 minute walk. Alternatively the apartment is a quick taxi ride away.

Buses: Lothian Buses are the main bus operator in Edinburgh. They offer a great free app that provides route maps, fare information and live bus times. It's a great tool for getting around the city.

If you decide to bring a car, there is a 24hr underground car park within a 2 minute walk - Q-park Quartermile. Visit (Website hidden by Airbnb) for details. Cost depends on when you check in (max. £2.50/hr). There is also on street parking close by but spaces are hard to come by and cost £3.50/hr.
